1 cup Bhaat
4 tbsp oil
2 1/2 cup water (Boiling hot)
1/4 cup sugar
Elachi few
Almonds/ Pista/ Coconut for Garnishing

Heat oil and add the bhaat and bhoonj for about 10 minutes with the elachi until nice and brown.

Now add he hot water and simmer for a minute and mix well.

Add the sugar. Cover and cook until bhaat is tender and water is all absorbed.

Garnish with coconut and Badam/ Pista.

Usually served with Jumma Daal and Chawal.

I bhoonj-ed the Bhaat a little bit too much. When you make it, try not to turn it this dark.
