Moong Daal (Magnee Daal)

1 cup Moong Daal
1 cup water
2 green chillies
salt 1/4 tsp
zeera 1/2 tsp
garlic 1/4 tsp
haldi 1/4 tsp
2 tbsp chopped onions
few whole black pepper
few cloves
1 tbsp oil

Wash and soak the daal for 20 minutes.

Now in a pot, add the daal, oil, garlic, green chillies, salt, haldi, zeera, onions,black pepper and cloves.

Add only enough water so there is about 1 inch of water on top of the daal. Let it cook until daal is almost tender and most of the water has evaporated.

Now lower the heat and put it on dumm until daal fluffs up a little bit and all the water is dry.

Garnish with cilantro. Serve with chopped onions and roti.
