Cabbage

Cabbage small
Chopped onions 1/4 cup
Oil 2 tbsp
Adrak/Lasan paste 1 tbsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
Haldi 1/2 tsp
Ground Zeera 1 tsp
Diced Tomatoes 1/4 cup
Frozen peas and carrots 1 cup



Slice the cabbage thiny.

Wash and drain the cabbage in a colander.



In a saucepan, heat oil and add chopped onions and ginger/garlic paste.



Simmer and add salt, red chilli powder, haldi, ground zeera and diced tomatoes.



Simmer for a minute and add the sliced cabbage.




Mix well and add frozen sliced carrots and frozen peas.



Mis well. Add freshly ground black pepper and cover and cook for 5-7 minutes.



Give it a final stir and serve with Roti.

I never knew we can cook cabbage like this, one cabbage is lying in fridge will try it tomorrow..inshALlah!!!

Do try it. My kids love it. It was Ammi's (mother-in-law) recipe. May Allah SWT rest her soul in peace and grant her a high place in Jannah, Ameen.
